The name Satan means "enemy" or "adversary", so Satan means the Enemy of God. This is kinda confusing because the Enemy in the old Jerusalem is not the same Enemy in the new Jerusalem. So Satan could be a "first impression" but in reality he is a friend of God. Jesus Christ is also a name and Jesus Christ is the name above every other name. The objective of man is to know the name of God, meaning to know the difference between good and evil.
Philippians 2:9 ESV Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,
Hebrews 5:5 ESV So also Christ did not exalt himself to be made a high priest, but was appointed by him who said to him, "You are my Son, today I have begotten you";
John 16:33 ESV I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."
