Everything that is happening in the world is based on this verse.
Genesis 3:15 ESV I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel."
The purpose is for purification. They will fight each other until the truth emerges. There are two Johns in the Bible, John the Baptist and John the Beloved, the former is the seed of the serpent while the latter is the seed of the woman.
John 19:26-27 ESV When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son!" (27) Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.
Jesus is not the seed of the woman, Jesus is Adam.
John 21:22-23 ESV Jesus said to him, "If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!" (23) So the saying spread abroad among the brothers that this disciple was not to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not to die, but, "If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?"
Psalms 82:6-8 ESV I said, "You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; (7) nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince." (8) Arise, O God, judge the earth; for you shall inherit all the nations!
1 Corinthians 15:45 ESV (45) Thus it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
"he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel", John was beheaded.
Matthew 14:8 ESV Prompted by her mother, she said, "Give me the head of John the Baptist here on a platter."
Matthew 11:12-13 ESV From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force. (13) For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John,
Matthew 17:12-13 ESV But I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but did to him whatever they pleased. So also the Son of Man will certainly suffer at their hands." (13) Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them of John the Baptist.
Luke 6:35 ESV But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.
The truth emerges...
John 16:2 ESV They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God.
Matthew 7:22-23 ESV On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' (23) And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'
Revelation 21:1-2 ESV Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. (2) And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
You may believe me or not at least you have an alternative interpretation. Have a nice bible study.
