Beheading in the Bible

hqdefault

Beheading in the Bible means beheading, meaning the head gets separated from the body, meaning the head is in league with God while the body is not. This is something spiritual, meaning only the head of John the Baptist got killed, his body remains alive. The beast that rises from the bottomless pit shall go to perdition, meaning the beast will be beheaded. Here are interesting verses...

Genesis 3:15 ESV  I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel."

John 19:26-27 ESV  When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son!" (27) Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.

John 1:19-23 ESV  And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, "Who are you?" (20) He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, "I am not the Christ." (21) And they asked him, "What then? Are you Elijah?" He said, "I am not." "Are you the Prophet?" And he answered, "No." (22) So they said to him, "Who are you? We need to give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?" (23) He said, "I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, 'Make straight the way of the Lord,' as the prophet Isaiah said."

Matthew 17:10-13 ESV  And the disciples asked him, "Then why do the scribes say that first Elijah must come?" (11) He answered, "Elijah does come, and he will restore all things. (12) But I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but did to him whatever they pleased. So also the Son of Man will certainly suffer at their hands." (13) Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them of John the Baptist.

Matthew 14:8-11 ESV  Prompted by her mother, she said, "Give me the head of John the Baptist here on a platter." (9) And the king was sorry, but because of his oaths and his guests he commanded it to be given. (10) He sent and had John beheaded in the prison, (11) and his head was brought on a platter and given to the girl, and she brought it to her mother.

Revelation 20:4 ESV  Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

The Old Earth  (Forever and ever)

Revelation 11:15 ESV  Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever."

Revelation 20:10 ESV  and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

The New Earth

Revelation 21:1 ESV  Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.

Revelation 21:5 ESV  And he who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."
